We care for our clients. We offer a broad range of accounting, audit, general planning and taxation services to facilitate doing business in a confusing and complex environment of financial regulations.

OUR FIRM

Our firm is a direct descendent of Sidney’s first CA firm, which was founded in 1970, so we have an unbroken history of serving the local community of businesses and individuals for over thirty-six years.

Our staffing complement is around ten, including partners, managers, accounting technicians and our amazing receptionist.

Our client base is primarily individuals and corporations located in the Saanich Peninsula and Victoria area. We like to work closely with our clients’ lawyers and financial advisors to ensure that all aspects of an individual’s financial affairs are given consideration. We consider ourselves generalists, but frequently work in conjunction with external specialists to ensure that even the most complex situations can be efficiently addressed.

OUR PEOPLE

Chris Cowland, CA – Partner

Chris joined Price Waterhouse London in 1976, and transferred to their Winnipeg office in 1980 with both a UK and Canadian designation. He has an extensive background in major and minor audits, both internal and external, worked for six years as financial controller of a large retail chain, became a Certified EDP Systems auditor in 1986, and has worked for several government ministries as director of finance and administration.

Caroline Paterson, CGA – Partner

Caroline obtained her CGA designation in 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in the accounting and bookkeeping field. She enjoys working closely with small business owners and individuals to achieve their goals.

Connie Grenier, CGA - Senior Accountant

Connie joined our team in 2008, bringing us over twenty years of public practice experience as both a sole practioner and as a manager in another accounting firm. She obtained her CGA designation in 1991.

Sheila Henn, BBA – Manager & Accounting Technician

Sheila has worked for us since September 1997 with a variety of responsibilities, primarily personal taxes and corporate year end account preparation. She is currently enrolled as a CA student in CASB working towards her CA designation.

Carol Graham – Accounting Technician

Carol has an extensive background in office automation and bookkeeping, and handles many of our small and intermediate corporate clients, as well as personal tax returns.

Anne Lee, BA (Honours) – Accounting Technician

Anne brings us an extstensive accounting and bookkeeping background which she applies to our corporate and personal clients.

Sean Hosick BA, Professional Accounting Certificate ADSC – Accounting Technician

Sean brings us many years of experience in bookkeeping. He is also currently enrolled in CASB working towards his CA designation.

Vicki Teal - Accounting Technician & Bookkeeper

Vicki has a very solid background in bookkeeping and will continue to expand on this knowledge by working on corporate year ends and personal tax returns.

Stacy Jacques - Accounting Technician

Stacey has many years of bookkeeping experience. She has almost completed her BBA at Camosun and is working towards her CGA.

Georgalea Hendry - Bookkeeper

Georgalea performs most of our recurring bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients.

Tara Rathwell – Receptionist & Office Administrator

Tara is the voice you hear on the telephone, and the smile you receive when you walk in our door. Tara has a detailed background in office automation and client service, and keeps our office organized and efficient.

Part-time staff

We are also thankful for the part-time support we get from Jan Horner and Diana Paterson, especially during our busy tax season.
